Let's Get Acquainted!
What better way to start my first blog post than by introducing myself.
So, here it goes. I'm Juliette, a 44-year-old from Belgium. If you're reading this, it's thanks to an experience that changed my life.
In 2017, I had the opportunity to follow my husband on an expatriation to Bangkok. I took advantage of this moment, far from all my familiar surroundings, to truly get to know myself. Looking back at my life, from studying communication to working in advertising, I remembered some special jewelry I had.
I then delved into memories of previously created jewelry: a pair of earrings for my 18th birthday, my engagement ring, a pendant for the birth of my second son, a ring for one of my birthdays. And there it was, the clarity, the feeling of finally putting my finger on what truly excites me! I remembered the time spent imagining and designing, having jewelry made that I love. A dream, I love it!
The idea was born. I was going to create my own jewelry brand. I then traveled all over Bangkok, in search of the perfect supplier with whom I could build a relationship of trust. After some wonderful encounters and visiting dozens of workshops, I finally met Khun Priya. Her workshop brings together local artisans, passionate and skilled, who work with noble materials (925 Silver / 18K Gold), favorites of the Thai people. With everything in place to meet my expectations of quality and ethics, I took the plunge, and we have been working together for over a year to create designs based on my ideas and their craftsmanship.
Today, I have managed to develop more than 40 little jewels of which I am very proud (+ link to the boutique). I still have plenty of ideas in mind and don't plan on stopping there! And now that I live in Texas with my husband and kids, I'm excited to see what Dallas has to offer for my business.
